Corporate Culture Development

Does Your Corporate Culture Exist Only at the Top?

Does your corporate culture exist only at the top, or does it permeate your entire organization? Many companies have a vision statement on the wall, but the values behind it never reach the front lines. At Business Whisperer, we help you clarify your values and define a corporate culture that lives and breathes throughout every level of your company.

Companies that focus on creating work environments where employees feel empowered, respected, valued and encouraged, drive significantly higher revenues and profit margins.

A strong corporate culture is not a luxury – it is a competitive advantage. When your people understand, believe in, and live your company’s values, the results speak for themselves in productivity, retention, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Our Three-Phase Process

  1. Corporate Culture Review

We begin with an honest assessment of your current corporate culture. What does your organization truly value? How do employees experience the workplace? We identify the gaps between your stated values and your actual culture.

  2. Knowledge Integration

We facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practices across your organization, breaking down silos and building bridges between teams. This phase ensures that every department is aligned and working together toward common goals.

  3. Values, Vision, and Mission

We help you define – or redefine – your company’s values, vision, and mission in a way that resonates with every member of your team. These aren’t just words on a wall; they become the guiding principles that drive daily decisions and long-term strategy.

How Do We Assess Your Current Culture?

You do not need a six-month engagement to learn what your culture actually is. Jerry has written about how he can diagnose the real culture of a business in about ninety minutes by observing seven specific behaviors: how meetings start and end, how disagreements are handled, how the newest employee is treated, how managers respond to mistakes, how decisions are communicated, how employees talk about customers when customers are not around, and what happens when someone misses a commitment. Culture is not what people write on an anonymous survey – it is the pattern of behaviors that gets repeated without being enforced.

During a culture assessment, Jerry interviews a cross-section of employees privately and compares what they say to what he observes. The gaps between what leaders believe about their culture and what employees actually experience are almost always larger than the leaders expect. Naming those gaps honestly is the first act of culture change, and it is why the Corporate Culture Review comes before anything else in our three-phase process.

What Does Culture Have to Do With Revenue?

Culture determines which behaviors get repeated when no one is watching – how decisions get made, how customers are treated, and whether commitments are kept. A strong culture reduces the management overhead required to get the right things done, which is why it shows up directly in productivity, retention, and profit. A weak or toxic culture quietly erodes performance across every function and is usually the root cause when good strategies fail in execution.

The results at the top of this page are not an accident. Goldco Precious Metals grew gross sales from $53 million to $85 million after one year of Jerry’s guidance, and as Goldco’s Brenda Whitman describes below, the knowledge integration work – getting teams to communicate and collaborate as one unified company – was central to that shift. When people are aligned around common goals, accountable to each other, and focused on mutual benefit, revenue growth follows.

How Long Does Culture Change Take?

Meaningful culture change typically takes 12 to 24 months to become self-sustaining. Early behavior changes can be visible within 60 to 90 days – meetings that start on time, disagreements that get resolved instead of going underground, commitments that are actually tracked. Embedding those behaviors so they persist without constant reinforcement from leadership takes longer, which is why we build accountability systems into every culture engagement rather than relying on enthusiasm alone.

Remote and hybrid companies can absolutely build strong cultures, but it requires even more deliberate design than an in-person workplace: explicit values, over-communicated expectations, visible leader behavior, regular rituals, and accountability that works across distance. The three-phase process above applies equally well to distributed teams.

What Does a Culture Engagement Cost?

Culture work is scoped to your situation, and most engagements fall into the same brackets as our other consulting services: focused 60-to-90-day projects typically range from $15,000 to $40,000, multi-quarter engagements run $30,000 to $90,000, and long-term transformations range from $75,000 to $250,000+. Every engagement starts with a free initial consultation and a transparent written proposal, and every engagement is backed by our 2:1 Payback Guarantee – at least two dollars of profit within one year for every dollar spent on our time.
